The band KiLR was formed in 2005 by frontman, guitarist, and primary songwriter Wade MaVv in San Diego, CA. The average age of the band members is 24 years old and they currently live in Wade’s hometown of Los Angeles, CA. When the band began, Wade MaVv was a Deep Sea Diver with the SEAL teams until being honorably discharged in 2008. With the help of local radio play, local business sponsors, and their self-produced tours, the band gained a loyal fan base and caught the eye of music industry executives in Los Angeles, where they moved in 2008. For the first couple of years the band featured a rotating cast of musicians until finding permanent members Chuck Holiday (Bass/2006) and Chris Hudson (Drums/2009). The band also tours with a fourth musician on guitar and backup vocals to help recreate the elaborate harmonies. A production team featuring world famous producers and engineers Gene Shiveley, Dave Jerden, and Bryan Carlstrom was formed for the specific purpose of developing the group KiLR. Upon arriving at the Malibu Performing Arts Center for artist development, the group was put through a grueling 6-day workweek that pushed their performance, writing, and physical capabilities. Due to KiLR’s street promotional skills, the band also continued building their fan base in cities all over the west part of the country by opening for national acts, doing regional tours, performing numerous times a week as a house/cover band, and creating their own entertainment and promotion company that produced events at Hollywood nightclubs like Kress, Vanguard, The Highlands, etc. The band’s producers have helped them record a full album that is awaiting release and KiLR has also just completed an unreleased music video for their song “Crazzzy” with the highly respected and well-known music video director Dale Restegehini. “Crazzzy” features co-writer Rie Sinclair and co-collaborator, rapper Ms. Toi (most known for her feat. on Ice Cube's hit single “You Can Do It”). The "Crazzzy" music video will be released on December 16th, on the band's YouTube channel. After 3 years of artist development, sleeping in their cars, selling CD’s on the street, playing hundreds of shows, and touring in a van with no trailer, the band is ready to unveil itself. The band has a tenacious attitude, a hyper activity fueled and professional live performance, and is not easily deterred by the music industry’s ups and downs like bands that have come before them. KiLR is known for their work ethic and has shown the dedication to do whatever it takes to get the job done and exceed people’s expectations. Their humorous antics, business skill, and unique musical sound are sure to propel them into a lasting career.
